Retaining Walls & Seat Walls

What it is, and why it works.
Middle Tennessee is beautiful and hilly, and that means slopes. A well-built retaining wall turns a steep yard into usable terraces, holds back soil and sends water where it should go. When capped with a wide stone, the same wall becomes extra seating around a fire pit or patio, saving on furniture and adding a sculptural line to the yard.
Walls are structural, and the details are everything: drainage stone and pipe behind the wall, geogrid reinforcement on taller walls, compacted bases and correct setbacks. We build in natural stone, boulders and engineered block, and tell you when a wall needs an engineer. Done right, a wall will outlast the house.
